Practical Primitive. A great school for primitive skills, offering hands on classes, long-term programs, and even one-on-one mentoring. The instructor, Eddie Starnader, has decades of experience and is a phenomenal teacher. The classes are short, practical, reasonably priced, and above all, FUN! |

Traditional Tanners. They were very helpful to us when we started tanning. Lots of good information on their site. Matt Richard's book "Deerskins into Buckskins" is in our opinion the single best source of information on Wet Scrape Braintanning. They also sell all manner of tanning supplies and books. Another great feature on their website is the "Hide Out", an online forum for tanners of all levels of experience. |

Kenneth Little Hawk. A great friend, Little Hawk is an amazing Native American musician and storyteller. I first heard the "Two Wolves" story told by Little Hawk in one of his performances, and so in a sense, he is the "Grandfather" of Two Wolves Braintanning. |
